Der erste Prototyp fährt!

Finally, the time has come! The first prototype of the VIA power bike is rolling across the factory premises. The frame components arrived from the Czech Republic at the beginning of March and we assembled the bike.

We had to improvise a lot in some places: Many things that look good and fit in the 3D model on the computer look completely different in real life. That's what prototypes are for. Now it's time to try out and improve.

The first ride with three crates of water went well... we didn't want to take beer crates. The risk was too great for us. If the bike hadn't held up, a few bottles might have broken.
But the bike held up and soon we will go get beer and toast to the first prototype!
